Excellent service from the first visit to the shop, to delivery and installation. We cannot believe the 1 star comment, My wife and I couldnt find them more helpful.
I purchased my first waterbed from David and Barbara in 1998, which I must say was an excellent choice from the information and advise they both gave me that day, I have never looked back. When the time came to move home, I offered the new owners the chance of keeping the waterbed, they said they would give it a go , after 2 nights they rang to say they would like to keep it, which i was glad about as i did not have to get David to empty and move to the new location, instead I purchased a new one from them.David and Barbara came out to the new property and recommended which size and frame to suit the room. I have since changed property and bedrooms several times and they have re-located the bed for me, nothing is too much trouble, they have sourced extra consumables for myself over the years, pillows, covers etc , they are both a very helpful couple.If you are thinking of purchasing a waterbed , then this shop is without a doubt the place to go, pop in and have a cuppa and a chat and lay on the beds while you decide which bed to purchase. I am sure you wont have a wasted journey.
Interesting experience purchasing a bed from this shop, the after sales is appalling. When I purchased the bed I spoke to the owner about a medical condition that I have, he spoke at length about the benefits of a waterbed for a variety of conditions. I found the bed aggravated my condition causing pain, I phoned to ask advice from the owner about either removing some of the water or adding some more, explaining the problem with my increased pain levels. Well his response was appalling - he LIED about us even having a conversation about my condition - despite talking about it for 10 to 15 minutes! He was quite abusive towards me, shouting down the phone and getting really agitated. All I wanted was an answer to a simple question. He then said he could send out someone to look at the bed but he wanted to charge me a small fortune to do this. I said I would sort it out myself. Very, very poor customer service. The bed is still uncomfortable months on and we are considering selling it and getting a normal bed.My advice is to AVOID this shop at ALL costs. If he lies about what was discussed I assume that once he gets your money he will just wash his hands of you - very poor service - I certainly would never go back to them and I DONOT recommend them.
After 20 years on a waterbed I couldn't face going to a sprung bed.D&B were the closest to Sheffield so we went there. A fantastic couple gave us tea and a full explanation on what is available even the offers and reductions. After placing the order it was delivered exactly on time and sleep comes easy again. Many thanks to you both.
