You have to work hard to enjoy a pint of real ale in Alfreton as the Handlebar is hidden behind the Sanam Restaurant. If you manage to locate the old cycle shop pub then you will be greeted by friendly staff and warming log burning stove. Fine ales locally brewed all for same price. Wine by the bottle and glass also sold for non real ale lovers .Special guns are also sold and the atmosphere is quiet and friendly.
If you haven't found the Handle Bar yet you need to seek it out. It's up a side road in Alfreton so isn't the easiest to find but well worth it. Good selection of beers, real fire and knowledgeable staff all make a great atmosphere. The decoration is imaginative and I imagine will continue with this style.
