Best I've ever been to. I never struggle to get an appointment and all staff and doctors are friendly and helpful!
Having moved from derby where (no disrespect intended) every doctor is foreign and do their best to push you out of the door, I made an appointment with doctor mclochlan (??) I was suffering terribly with depression linked to alcoholism and cannabis misuse. Hands down the most supportive understanding and helpful doctor I have ever seen she gave me the support and time I needed to gather my head and get healthy again. 6 months later I am now clean of both of my addictions, no longer on anti depressants and in full time employment. I have also seen Dr Dowd and Dr heafield which were both equally as brilliant as Dr mclochlan(??). All things considered this surgery is an example of when the nhs works absolutely fantastic. I owe Dr mclochlan my life and so much more. Thank you so much .
I can always get an appointment when I need one. The doctors are very professional they listen to you fully and are very caring. The nurses are friendly and reassuring. Me and my family have had nothing but support whenever we have visited
Some of the practitioners have an idea of what they're doing others just send you back on your way with no useful information or help in any way. I've been about the same pain about 7-8 times now and still no help. Completely under staffed as there's always a 2-3 week wait after initially booking the appointment. If you need an emergency appointment you would need to be accompanied by the grim reaper. An emergency appointment should be someone that needs something, the people that call so they can have a little chat with a GP should have to wait 3 weeks.Called to let the reception know that I would be 10 minutes late and was told to make another appointment. I think this was BS because at the beginning of the call when I said I was running late she asked me what time would I be able to get there for and then after I told her, she said to book again... What was the point in asking me when I would be able to make it in then? (worth noting that I never fueled the fire).Aside from rude staff, lack of help from GPs, waiting times and being under staffed. I give this one star for locality (one deducted for every negative point). If you can register somewhere else, I strongly suggest it.
The GPs are great.. But I work in a school and so can never make an appointment for anything because you decide to close on weekends and evenings! The only times I can do!So now I'm just suffering until I need to go to hospital and it's a continual cycle..Thanks
