Amazing time we've had here, beautiful house and surroundings..
Had everything we wanted, the only downside was the size of the beds (they felt like small doubles). But otherwise a perfect stay!
We stay with our friends 20 of us, great to catch up again,. The milking Parlour fell short of my expectations the dinning area could accommodate for 20 of us,, the lounge area was insufficient only 3 sofas and two lounge chairs not enough space for all of us..There wasn't enough cultury for all of us and we went at the hottest time, they did provide fans these where just in the living area which was upstairs so we were hot and uncomfortable, to add to this there was an infestations of wasps.Sleeping area was comfortable and very clean outside area disappointed me, 20 of us and one hot tub near the bins with a wasp infestation.We hired the bbq set for 25 pounds just so we could get away from the wasps, 25 pounds for what the use of a brick built area, that wasn't near our accommodation, we had to clean the rack they provided,we had 5 fire lighters and some charcoal and some utensils oh not forgetting the trolley this should be free in my opinion, we paid over 3,200 for accommodation. None of us would stay here again, we had a wonderful time together and will not be returning. Sorry not for us.

We took over the whole of Oakerthorpe Holiday Village on bank holiday weekend in May 2018. We were getting married nearby and used the cottages as accommodation for our guests and a venue for a celebratory BBQ on the Sunday. Oakerthorpe couldn't of been more perfect, firstly the accommodation itself is gorgeous, spacious and done to the most impeccable standard. Secondly FarmerVic, Rachel and the whole team are friendly, helpful and made our stay easy from the moment we booked to the moment we left. They couldn't of been more accommodating to all of our guests and Vic even gave tours of the Orchard to guests old and young which were loved!If you are looking for somewhere for a large gathering with family and friends I would reccommend Oakerthorpe without hesitation, you will not be disappointed!
