Clean, tidy, nice decor and well presented. Staff pleasant. Sit in or take out. Inexpensive, I only had food to take out, and the food that was coming out looked goid platefuls.
A friendly cafe with no problems if you want to bring your dog along. The cafe has some reasonable food on offer, but you might get tempted by their desert menu.The only downside is they don't normally rush to get the food out, unless you state them that you are in a hurry.
Ordered steak and ale pie and chips with peas for my husband and two drinks at counter then sat down taking drinks with us.The couple who arrived at least ten minutes after us received their four slices of cheese and toast and chips almost immediately on sitting down but we continued to wait for my husbands mealAfter twenty-five minutes and other meals steadily coming out my husbands still had not arrived, we had an appointment to go to and my husband would not have time to eat his meal so went to the counter asking to cancel the meal immediately on saying this it came out - a small portion of pie a dozen frozen chips and a few peas with gravy - explained did not have time still to eat so requested a refund.No apology was given at anytime in fact the opposite explaining to provide pie took a long time to ensure correctly served.Luckily for them the next person in the que said he would have the meal.Will never personally return following poor service and time scale plus lack of politeness.
